The Curious case of Pat's New York Trip

Pat previously was married to Dennis Bauch, who was a high school mate of Dennis of this site.  Pat and Dennis B lived for some time in the Milwaukee metropolitan area when Dennis was managing Woolworth on Third and North Avenue.  Dennis K and Pat got to be good friends.

Dennis B and Pat moved to Prescott Wisconsin and Dennis K to NYC. Pat and Dennis B divorced as life progressed.  Pat lost touch until about 20 years later, in 1999, when she contacted DK while on a business trip

It was great to see Pat again

What is curious about this case? Pat had a new job. Pat's new employers sent her to New York for a business conference, their business was not doing well and while Pat was in NYC, they went out of Business.  I enjoyed seeing Pat but is a scary episode as she got the news from her new employer.
