Carnival in Brazil is officially a three day holiday but they stretch it to start on the Thursday before Lent making it 5 days

Oliveira is a small town with about 50,000 people.  Tourist from out of the country were rare and extremely welcomed.

There was a rumor that Chester Cavil was a mayor from Atlanta Georgia

Chester and Ruby became the toast of the town and were treated as royalty.  They were invited to every important party and event during the entire 5 day holiday

Dennis was honored too as a guest from America.  Dennis got press passes for photographing the Samba Schools, and all the events.  Many photos and a video has been lost to time
